WEEK 13 The Killing joke (8 points)

WEEK 14 The Killing joke

My first reaction to the text was being very impressed by the amount of detail and deep planning behind the art. a second thing that I noticed was that in this case there was definitely a huge though behind the story and its meaning,

I connect with some aspects of the story. for example, there is a strong sense of values and codes, there is a fine line on losing yourself when you dive deep into your mind and emotions. having this method of self contain like a moral code is almost a key part of preserving the essence of who we think we are.

In this case, I would try to adapt this format to a medium to different form the one presented, there is a special a very strong value in the way it was created, and maybe pushing those limits too much would break the sense of atmosphere. a good example of what could be done to adapt it is to animate each of the panels but not turning the piece into an animation, there are examples of these done before and with the usage of sound, the illustrated part of the piece will be elevated. I wouldn't change anything on the story but nothing more than adding some voice acting and sound effects.

Mostly in the ending. this story is mostly based on the perspective of the villain and the explanations for his acts. even tho we feel very connected to the hero the main point of the comic is not to show his heroic actions, is more like a journey to understand evil and good. and ask ourselves if there is any meaning in it.
